RESOLVED: lon-pbx-11 fallover to backup server

One of our PBXs - lon-pbx-11.gradwell.net swapped to its backup server just after 12:00 .

We have now restarted lon-pbx-11 and it has now taken over from the backup and is passing calls correctly. We apologise for any issues you may have experienced whilst this changeover took place.

If you are experiencing any problems after this changeover, please reboot your VoIP device to enable it to re-register.

Annex M DSLAM Upgrades

Our ADSL carrier has informed us that a number of exchanges will experience intermittent connectivity issues while the DSLAM software is upgraded , this will allow us to expand the availability of our Premier Plus broadband package.

Users connected to the following exchanges will be disconnected for upto 20 minutes while the software is upgraded, customers routers should reconnect automatically once the upgrade has been performed.

  • Grantham - EMGRHAM
  • St. Albans - LNSTB

Control Panels New Look and Feel

We have made the following changes to the Gradwell control panels this afternoon:

  • All of our control panels are now hosted on *.gradwell.com.
  • Our control panels share a new look & feel and Gradwell’s new logo.

These changes are the first step in the launch of Gradwell’s refreshed brand. There will be more changes from us in the coming days.

If you spot any problems with any of our control panels, please contact Customer Services to let us know.

RESOLVED: DSL Datastream IP Issues

Our DSL Provider has issued a notification that they are currently seeing resilience issues on their core network, this is affecting BT Datastream networks only connected between their Reading Harbour POP and Bristol POP

We are unable to identify which customers are affected by this issue as this data is not available, current issues will be reduced speed and packet loss.

A fibre break near Woking has been identified as the cause of this issue and engineering teams are currently enroute to site to repair the damage.

UPDATE 12:09 - Fibre rings have now been respliced and our carrier has reported that circuits are now stable

Notification of DSL Service outage Sheffield

Our ADSL carrier has reported that they are experiencing an issue with DSL connections in the Sheffield area.

Customers connecting over BT’s Datastream network may experiencing problems in negogiating a PPP session.

Our carrier has dispatched local engineering teams to the exchanges to investigate the cause of this problem further.

We will update this posting once further information has been received from the carrier.

Update 1:45pm - Engineers have now reset the switching tables at the affected Sheffield exchanges , indiciations now show this issue has been resolved, our carrier will continue to monitor and update us.

COMPLETED: Gradwell ADSL Engineering Work

Our ADSL carrier is performing core network engineering work on Thursday 5th March, this maintenance window will open at 00:00 and close at 07:00

During this time, customers may become disconnected from the network , this may happen more than once during the maintenance window.

We would recommend first power cycling your router if you find you are unable to gain internet access on Thursday morning after this work has been completed.

COMPLETE: Gradwell ADSL Engineering Work

Our ADSL carrier is performing core network engineering work on Friday 27th February, this maintenance window will open at 01:00 and close at 06:00

During this time, customers may become disconnected from the network , this may happen more than once during the maintenance window.

We would recommend first power cycling your router if you find you are unable to gain internet access on Friday morning after this work has been completed.

RESOLVED: DSL availability checking

We are aware of a temporary issue with ordering DSL circuits and checking line availability at present.  Our developers are working with our supplier - Tiscali, to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Update 11:10: Our server team have informed us that this problem is now resolved and DSL circuits can now be ordered via the website.

DSL routing issue

09:00 We have been receiving some reports of connectivity issues on some Gradwell DSL circuits.  We are investigating with our supplier and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Update 11:25, we have identified a core networking issue between ourselves and our Tiscali peering and are working with Tiscali to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.  We apologise for any ongoing inconvenience.  Due to the nature of the problem, VoIP will not be affected.

Update 13:00, Our engineers are now reporting that this issue is now resolved and the cause is under investigation.  We apologise to all DSL customers for the extended length of this problem.

LLU Exchange Outage - WINSFORD

We have been informed that users connected to the WINSFORD exchange will be experiencing issues with their DSL service.

We are awaiting for confirmation that BT Engineers have been dispatched to site to investigate the problem.

Further updates will be posted once information has been received.
